UDMR managed to enter Parliament, while the three extremist parties that surpassed the electoral threshold—AUR, SOS, and POT—collectively gathered around 32% of the votes.

PNL: 1,322,468 votes (14.28%)
USR: 1,134,831 votes (12.26%)

POT: 591,927 votes (6.39%)
UDMR: 590,783 votes (6.38%)
The Three Political Blocs:
Following the elections, three main power blocs have emerged:
Sovereignist Bloc: AUR (19%), SOS (8%), POT (7%) = 34%
Socialist Bloc: PSD = 24%
Right Bloc: PNL (16%), USR (13%), UDMR (7%) = 36%
Political Outlook:
Although the sovereignist bloc achieved a significant result, it is not favored by other parties due to its anti-EU and pro-Russian stances. Any coalition with this bloc could place Romania in open conflict with the European Union, leading to the loss of EU funding—a serious economic consequence.
Therefore, the only viable option remains a coalition between the Socialist Bloc (PSD) and the Right Bloc (PNL, USR, UDMR), which would secure a 60% majority in Parliament. However, this coalition will face a challenging fiscal and budgetary situation, inherited from the excessive spending of the previous PSD-PNL government.
