Top Rent A Car adds 500 new Hyundai i20 vehicles to its fleet
Top Rent A Car is adding 500 new Hyundai i20 vehicles to its fleet as part of a strategic partnership with Hyundai. The production and delivery of the first stage of the order, totaling 500 Hyundai i20 cars, were completed within 30 days -a timeframe that highlights Hyundai Bulgaria’s capacity for rapid response, efficient coordination, and management of large-scale corporate projects in a dynamic market environment.
With this investment, Top Rent A Car’s fleet remains above 3,000 vehicles, with an average age below 1.8 years - significantly lower than the national average of over 20 years. The renewal is focused on the compact segment, traditionally one of the most sought-after by both individual and corporate clients.
All 500 Hyundai i20 vehicles come with automatic transmission and modern safety systems, as well as solutions that meet the latest European environmental standards, making them suitable for both short-term rentals and longer-term corporate contracts. Choosing a model with a proven presence on the European market reduces operational risk and facilitates the maintenance of a uniform fleet.
Practical impact on business
Corporate clients are among the main beneficiaries of such a service. Companies with regional teams, seasonal operations, or project-based workloads are increasingly opting for operational solutions instead of purchasing their own fleet.
Instead of tying up capital in a depreciating asset, businesses can use a vehicle for a specific period or project. This is particularly relevant for companies in the tourism, construction, logistics, and services sectors, where mobility is a necessity but not a core activity.
A larger fleet also allows greater flexibility in serving international clients and partners who seek standardized quality and predictable conditions.
“This investment is part of our long-term strategy to maintain a young and competitive fleet. The scale of the deal allows us to offer stable conditions to both individual and corporate clients,” commented Milen Marinov, owner and CEO of Top Rent A Car.
Partnership with European scope
Implementing such a project requires synchronization between the local market and the manufacturer’s European structures. Support from Hyundai at a European level enables the fleet to be structured and contracted under conditions that reflect the scale and potential of the Bulgarian company.
A step in the company’s strategic transformation
The new Hyundai i20 vehicles will be used both for traditional short-term rentals and for more flexible usage models that the company has been developing in recent years. These include long-term rentals, corporate services, and solutions focused on shared mobility.
In this context, the investment is also part of the development of the TOP MOBILITY brand, through which the company plans to integrate various mobility services into a single platform. The direction is towards integrated solutions - from short-term rental to longer-term use tailored to the needs of businesses and individual clients.
The deal for 500 vehicles is not just a fleet expansion. It is an indicator of capacity - both production and logistics on Hyundai’s side, and managerial and operational on Top Rent A Car’s side. In a sector where scale and efficiency are key to margins, such partnerships define a new level of competition.
