Model for State Aid in the navigation field
Creating a model for State Aid in the navigation field engaged part of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber's staff for months. The proposal texts are part of the activities under project Grendel – green and efficient Danube fleet, in which the Chamber was an active participant on the Bulgarian side. The project activities will finish at the end of November 2020.
The in-depth research of the legislation and aid in different European countries, compared to the practice in Bulgaria, was the basis of the prepared Model. The Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber's proposals are for a few different measures, which, although at an initial stage, to be directed towards the navigation field. They are in line with Bulgaria's priorities for the 2021-2027 period and are in a few different directions: improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions; adapting the vessels for different cargos; increasing the personnel's safety and qualifications, as well as promoting new technologies.
The proposed financing of the identified measures is via different programmes from the national and European budget.
