Danube Bridge at Ruse will be closed on March 27
Traffic on the Danube Bridge at Ruse will be suspended on March 27 due to major repairs, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced. The passage of light vehicles will be restricted from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, while heavy goods vehicles will be restricted from 9:00 AM on March 27 to 9:00 AM on March 28.
The repair work began on July 10, 2024, and since then, construction and installation activities have been carried out daily without stopping traffic, with vehicles passing in both directions on the lane where work is not being performed.
In the coming days, concrete mixtures will be poured to connect the areas between the new reinforced concrete panels. A technological requirement is that no vehicles pass over them for the first 12 hours after pouring.
During the traffic suspension on the Danube Bridge, heavy vehicle drivers will be able to use parking lots and rest areas in the regions of Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Yambol, and Haskovo. A map with the waiting areas is provided in the attached link, along with a map of alternative routes.
