The RO e-Transport app is now available on both App Store and Google Play

The RO e-Transport app, which tracks the movement of goods in Romania, is now available for download from App Store and Google Play, as announced by the Ministry of Finance and the Romanian Revenue Administration.

From July 15 to August 31, 2024, the RO e-Transport system is in a testing phase. During this period, operators can familiarize themselves with its use without facing any penalties.

Goods Subject to Monitor
The system monitors vehicles with a technically permissible maximum weight of at least 2.5 tons, carrying goods with a high fiscal risk, which have:

• A total gross weight of more than 500 kg or
• A total value exceeding 10,000 lei.

Who Must Use the e-Transport System
The following users are required to declare goods in the RO e-Transport system:

• Recipient in Romania (listed in the customs import declaration) or sender (listed in the customs export declaration) for goods with a high fiscal risk.
• Beneficiary in Romania for intra-community acquisitions of high fiscal risk assets.
• Supplier in Romania for domestic transactions or deliveries within the EU of fiscal goods with a high risk.
• Warehouse keeper for high fiscal risk goods involved in intra-community transactions or goods unloaded in Romania for storage or forming new shipments from one or more consignments of goods, or for goods loaded after storage or forming new transport within the national territory.

This system is a step towards better monitoring and transparency of high-risk goods transportation in Romania, ensuring compliance with fiscal regulations and preventing fraud.
